Dry Practice Drill is the best dry practice timer for the the iPhone or iPad. It is simple to use, and wrapped in a beautiful interface.
The app includes all the drills from Front Sights handgun training course. but the drill list is yours to customize. Add and remove drills, or tweak times as your skills improve.
For each drill you are given a few seconds to prepare, then an audible "Ready" call. After a random pause, a short tone marks the drill start. You should complete the drill before you hear the whistle.
Use the strings feature to automatically decrease drill time as you practice.
We Include basic instructions how to complete each drill. This is especially helpful for complex drills like malfunction clearing.
This is the perfect companion for your trip to Front Sight, and a great way to keep the momentum going afterwards.
Hint: If you cannot hear the sounds, check your devices mute switch. ;-)

The app works well, and I appreciate the ability to create my own drills. I wouldve given this 5 stars if it could reorder the drills, create groups of drills, and backup/import the drills that Ive created.
What you see in the pictures is what you get. This is literally just a timer with a titles at the top of the screen. Thats it. You get an audible "ready", then a whistle for whatever drill youve selected.
This app wouldve been perfect for my needs! However, the alert tones will not function and the app is silent making it worthless to me. Its not doing me any good if I cant hear the beeps.
This app is perfect for honing my skills on all the FrontSight drills. I use it for Dry Practice at home as well as live fire using headphones at the range. (You can jack it in to the audio input on Howard Leight Impact earmuffs or similar). I will be going back to Frontsight next year and now I know I can meet the timing requirements! Excellent App.
This is exactly what I was looking for on returning from Front Sight training. The app is slick and simple to use. It would be nice to be able to add custom drill times, but the Front Sight drills are perfect for me. The repeat option is very handy. Definitely recommend.
